We Lost :(

I had to hand over the trophy today to Silk Road Bakery. We competed all of December for top sales through Mixson Kitchen. Online sales didn’t count, farmers market sales didn’t count. Only what was rung up through the kiosk at Mixson Kitchen. We were neck and neck all month. They would take the lead, then I would and back and forth it went till December 31st when they finally beat us in the final hours.

I handed the trophy over with grace but January is a new month…. Let the games begin!

Let's start the New Year with a website drop. We have uploaded next week's menu for Mixson Kitchen on our website. You can now pre-order through the website for pickup. 2025… what a tough year! I started out this year (January-March… a market vendors quite time) volunteering for WAY too many of my daughters activities. It led to a REALLY rough start to the market season. My last volunteer position ended and I looked at the calendar and realized markets started in 3 days. It was in that moment I realized I was only one person and I couldn’t do it all. I vowed to do things differently in 2026 and give some time back to myself which includes Culinary Creation.

I am SO looking forward to this year. I don’t want to make any empty promises by sharing with you ALL my ideas for 2026 and then realizing I can’t do them ALL but being a part of Mixson Kitchen’s storefront is a start to what I am calling “Culinary Creation’s growth year.”

Whether you have been with us since day one, joined us 5 years ago or saw a post yesterday and haven’t had a chance to get our product yet…. I want to say thank you! Thank you for being a part of our journey. Thank you for supporting us in any way, shape or form. We are at over 4,000 followers on Facebook (almost 600 on Instagram) and it might not seem like a lot to some but to us it is everything.

It’s only been a couple weeks since markets ended but I’m already going stir crazy. My brain is throwing creative ideas at me all night and keeping me from sleeping. I’m ready to have some fun with new items (or old classics like this one)

Back when I first opened in 2015 I would make salads. This one was on the menu back then and a good friend has been mad at me for years for taking it off the menu. Every year she sends me pictures of it and gives me a little hint, hint, wink, wink. So this one’s for you, Leslie!
