Last week had a guy at my regular Thursday residency ask me “is that the only shirt you own”. I had to laugh because I knew what he was getting at.

I explained to him that this shirt is my brand. I have 10 dry fit in black, 5 dry fit in dark grey, 5 dry fit in light grey, 5 dry fit in white, and 10 dry fit polos in black, 5 various colors polos too.

I explained that once I really understood how business and branding worked I changed my ways. I don’t wear Polo, Guess, FUBU, Calvin Cline etc clothing because I’m promoting someone else brand. Me wearing my own clothing give my company brand recognition and it’s a write off because it’s my work uniform. Being self employed I’m always working.

I have people. One up to me and say “I saw one of your guys at an event last week and he killed it”. That’s instant promotion and keeps my business relevant and consistently in front of people.

Once Petey Pablo said, “ I drink Seagrams Gin and they paying for it”, the lightbulb popped on.

Ask yourself, does you brand have meaning or is it just a logo? The Bow tie and Pineapple stands “Professional Hospitality”
