The safety of our community is our highest priority. In South Carolina, you must be at least 16 years old and hold a valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart. If someone under 16 is found driving a golf cart without a valid driver’s license, parents or guardians can receive a citation.

It is with heavy hearts that we, the members of the Dorchester Shrine Club, announce the passing of our beloved brother, RA Legette. RA was a Life Member of our club and a distinguished recipient of the Medal of Honor Award from Omar Temple, a testament to his unwavering dedication and service to our brotherhood and community.
RA was a remarkable man, known to all as a strong soul with a gentle heart. His presence brought warmth and camaraderie wherever he went. A true friend, RA cherished the simple joys of life—whether it was enjoying a cold Budweiser beer or spending time with “the boys,” laughing, sharing stories, and taking on just about any adventure that came his way. His spirit was infectious, and his loyalty to those he loved was unmatched.
As we mourn his loss, we ask that you join us in keeping his wife, Renee, his children, grandchildren, and the entire Legette family in your prayers during this difficult time. RA’s absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will live on in the countless lives he touched.
Service information will be shared once the family has had time to make arrangements. Until then, let us honor RA by raising a glass in his memory and holding tight to the bonds of brotherhood he so cherished.
Rest in peace, Brother RA Legette—you will be deeply missed.
