We are very, very grateful to have been selected as Best Venue in Hopkins County again. Especially this year, it means the world to us, and we are so thankful for each life we have gotten to encounter since we took over in September 2019. Y’all mean so much to us.

We are so grateful and excited to share what’s coming to 219 Main Street! 🍦🍭🍬🍫 We hope y’all will support them, just as you’ve supported us. ❤️ We will continue to host events through September 24th, and then the downstairs will transition over.

‘Scott and Amy Caruthers Swindell are looking forward to coming home and opening The Sweet Life Ice Cream & Gifts Store this fall. Our store will be located at 219 Main Street in Sulphur Springs. This space is where The Venue at two nineteen is currently. It is also where we reconnected after 45 years and had our wedding reception. We feel so blessed to be able to open our store in this beautiful building.

We will be serving up old-fashioned ice cream as well as candies, toys, books, and gifts. Our hope is that The Sweet Life Store will be a blessing to our employees, our customers, and our community, just as Sulphur Springs has been a blessing to our families for more than a hundred years.’

We are so grateful for every client we've gotten to know and work with since we took over The Venue in September 2019. September 24, 2025 will be our last event to host, BUT we are beyond excited to get to announce that something amazing is coming to 219 Main!

In an event we can only consider to be led by God, we were approached by someone who had not only attended his 45th class reunion at The Venue, he reconnected with his now wife, and they had their reception at The Venue, too. This space is not only special to us - it's special to them. We're excited they've leased the space starting October 1st, and we cannot wait to see all they bring to the downtown area of Sulphur Springs!

Did you know….our love for the heritage and history of Hopkins County continues to the next generation?

Katherine, Grant and Connor have participated in the Littles competition with their friends, Andrew and Sofia, in previous years. All kiddos have placed in the top three!

We are so excited to attend the pageant tonight! Best of luck to each of the young ladies competing. We wish you memories for a lifetime!

Did you know….co-owner Gina Wilder won Miss Congeniality during the 1980 Dairy Festival pageant? ❤️ She performed the theme from Love Story on the piano for her talent portion.

We’re excited to highlight the Hopkins County Dairy Festival this week! 🐮 Each of these Venue kiddos have participated in the Littles category and placed in the top two during their respective years.

Yesterday we got to watch the parade, as well as the amazing hot air balloon glow show! Sulphur Springs is so special to us, and we’re thankful to be a part of this amazing community for so many generations.
