Our feature article in Issue 2 was a focus on the Historic New England preservation society - an organization that protects 127 historic properties throughout the region through a preservation easement program. Additionally, they currently have eight properties that can host weddings in New England! We chatted with Maine Wedding + Event Planner ✈️ | Nicole Mower about the logistics of planning and hosting a wedding at these properties. We couldn’t be more excited to see more color back in weddings this season, and love seeing how couples are incorporating it - whether it’s through florals, dresses, tablecloths or decor sprinkled throughout. We *still* dream about the color that we used at our content day last year at Hyla Brook Estate

If you know us IRL, then you know we are obsessed with our dogs - and any other dog we encounter in the wild. We LOVE seeing fur babies at weddings, and desperately wish that we had our pups at our own weddings. It’s always such a joy to capture images of them with their parents, and we love seeing everyone’s pups throughout wedding season!

Happy June - one of the best months of the year in our opinions. The almost start of summer, wedding season gears up, the lupines start blooming, and it’s Pride month.

It shouldn’t have to be said, but in our current climate, we want to reiterate that at EWM, every month is pride month. We believe deeply in everyone having the right to marry their chosen person, and we believe that our LGBTQIA+ friends, family and clients should be able to have the same rights as us. You won’t find us rainbow washing our brand for one month a year, and you won’t find us posting our q***r weddings just one month a year. These weddings and engagements deserve the same amount of love and appreciation all year long - and here at EWM, we love all of our people equally.

Happy Pride month, friends.
