Time for Wisconsin to shine and show their support for USARK.

Your state. Your support! We are asking you to help us spread awareness of USARK and our work one state at a time. This week, the state is Wisconsin.

If you have a pet store, veterinary office, or public exhibit that works with reptiles or amphibians in Wisconsin, USARK will send you a FREE business package that includes brochures, stickers, and possibly more. Please tag any businesses that might be interested! Email [email protected] with your company name and address if you are in this week’s state and want to assist.

We will randomly draw a new state every Sunday. Please feel free to comment and show your support as a member, advocate, fan, or h**p owner.

Our vendor list for the upcoming show on September 7th has been updated over on www.sewerfest.com. We had an amazing response from the new vendors who joined us for the first time in April, with most returning, but we've also added a few more new vendors like JP's Lizards vending with us for the first time. Juan has attended the show, and featured it on his YouTube channel, but is vending for the first time with us. We are also very excited to share that Josh's Frogs will be vending with us in September for the first time. They breed an amazing array of amphibians and some pretty choice reptiles as well. Not to mention carrying a line of their own supplies. Check them both out on September 7th.

I know that for many of you, waiting until September for the next SEWERFest may seem like an eternity, so understandably you are looking elsewhere for reptiles, but let me give you a word of caution with these high temps we are experiencing. Be careful shipping reptiles this time of year. Most people know not to ship in winter due to the cold, but honestly the heat can be so much worse. Poorly packed animals can experience high temperatures in shipping warehouses and on trucks. Most FedEx trucks are not air conditioned, meaning that even if you do hub to hub pick up, that animal will experience high temperatures in the warehouse and in transport to and from the airports. And by all means choose and pay for express morning delivery. I was told this weekend by a driver that he had an afternoon delivery from a spider vendor because no one paid for express delivery. In 90°+ temps. 85°+ temps are forecasted for much of the Midwest the next week, so please be careful.

Also if you visit one of the other amazing reptile shows in the area bring a cooler, travel in a car with working AC, and no lunch stops on the way home. The last thing I want to hear is that someone is at our show in September to replace an over heated animal they purchased this summer.

Use caution, and see you on September 7th.

Not only does JP always do a great job with his videos, he does an amazing job of showing how SEWERFest always tries to have the best variety we can. It's not about just selling tables, but providing a diverse selection and experience.
