The evening sky is offering a beautiful celestial pairing on September 13–14, 2026, as the thin crescent Moon appears close to brilliant Venus.
Look toward the western sky shortly after sunset to spot the two brightest objects in the evening sky shining near each other. The delicate crescent Moon against the bright glow of Venus can create a stunning view, especially with a clear horizon and dark surroundings.
This is an excellent naked-eye skywatching opportunity and a perfect reminder that some of the most beautiful astronomical events can be seen without a telescope.
