VISION UPDATE
The dojo is a part of a bigger initiative to build a community infrastructure that produces three interconnected pieces of a pipe-dream puzzle:
1.) An idyllic storybook-esque village.
2.) Whimsical, fulfilling, romanticized lives.
3.) Generational wealth of mind, body, spirit, and resources for our community at large.
That’s a lot to wrap your head around, but little by little the vision will materialize.
In simple terms, we all want nice lives and nice things for ourselves and our children.
The way that I look at it is, instead of competing for resources amongst ourselves, like peasants have been doing to no transcendent end for centuries, let’s do something new and more effective. Let’s COLLABORATE to build a new infrastructure for ourselves to legitimately thrive in, rather than just survive.
Let’s build an infrastructure that facilitates and fosters our higher human spirit, instead of sacrificing our spirit to advance corporations, technology, politics, and economics.
To do this, we’ve gotta be creators instead of consumers.
When you are at the dojo, rather than considering yourself a customer, consider yourself an investor, a developer, a builder, a community member actualizing this vision.
When you spend your time at the dojo, you are helping to put this puzzle together.
We are all coming together here to invest our time, money, and resources into developing our best selves, lives, relationships, resources, and village.
And the more we do that, the more this vision materializes.
And just as you are nowhere near finished developing yourself, the dojo is nowhere near finished, the village is nowhere near finished, and the vision is nowhere near finished.
You, me, the dojo, our village, our vision.. we’re all a work-in-progress. And we’re all capable of picking up a shovel when we walk in the door, and building toward what we want.
Let’s build a village and lives that the next generation will admire and be challenged to outdo.
Together, we are building something new and beautiful here. It might be rough around the edges right now, but you can see it coming together.
The puzzle is taking shape.
