We are a pick-your-own flower farm between Ames and Story City Iowa opening summer 2014! Our seeds our growing and we are so ready for spring to come to central Iowa!

Happy May Day! Celebrate with us at the tomorrow! A few ranunculus and lots of tulips! Hooray!

Things are heating up around here! Lots of MUD though to cool things off. Our mudroom is earning its title every day. But we are excited to tuck our forced tulips into as many bouquets as we can, and loving watching our little seedlings becoming plants in the high tunnel. We even had a few things overwinter in there that are putting out buds, hooray!

Tulips in February! Our original experiment was to force tulips for Valentine's Day. We were about a week off on that schedule, but now we've been picking our own tulips for arrangements! Every experiment teaches us something new, so now we feel more confident in forcing tulips for winter sales next year!

Thanks to all for supporting us this Valentine's day! 💘 As we sweep up the stems, we are happy to have had the privilege of being busy! And to top it off, the very first of our forced tulips are just starting to bloom - these we just were able to cut this afternoon! 🌷Here's to another great growing season and a happy Valentine's day!

On this day of December after nights in the single digits, I made this bouquet out of our high tunnel! So satisfying! I think it's a fantastic way to say happy birthday to Carole 😁🎂

Happy Fall or Happy Halloween? We've got both covered today! Especially with 3 small dinos and their fresh candy stash this coming weekend, a moment of peace cutting flowers is well appreciated ☺️

This sunny fall day has us missing farmers market, maybe you are too! If so, we have Joy Jars available on our website. Order online before noon and pick it up same day! Or call us to set up a delivery. Our lisianthus and snaps are doing great, and as you can see a bunch of other fillers are blooming as well, including baby's breath, mistflower, and matricaria (mums!)
