Forget the regular season, our boys PLAYED tonight!! I am incredibly proud with how tough we played tonight in the district opener. Bennett, great job on the bump!

Your Panthers got a tough postseason assignment by being paired with one of the best teams in the state, Remsen St. Mary’s. Most people would have looked at this game and assumed a blowout. They were wrong. We played solid defense and Bennett did what he was asked to do on the mound. We made Remsen fight for this win. This was by far our best game all year and we wish the Hawks good luck as they advance to the second round. We took Remsen to the 5th inning and lost 10-0. The bats couldn’t do much against the elite pitching of RSM. But the bats were being swung!

Unfortunately that does it for this season and the record book doesn’t show how hard these boys fought and never gave up. We will be returning all our players next year as we don’t have any seniors.

As the outgoing AD and former coach of these boys, I’m very proud of each player. Coach Ryan, thanks for taking over and pushing these boys each and every inning. Fellas, get some ice and enjoy the rest of your summer.

Tomorrow's District baseball game in Remsen will start around 5pm. This game was originally scheduled for yesterday (Saturday) at 7pm, but got postponed due to the forecasted weather.

If you already purchased your tickets, those will still be good for both games tomorrow night. There is one game that will occur before ours starting at 3.
If you did not buy tickets yet, the ticket purchasing process will be the same. See a previous post for details.

BASEBALL POSTSEASON TICKETING INFO!!!

If you plan to attend Saturday Night's first round of District play in Remsen at 7pm, please continue reading. There will NOT be tickets available at the gate. All tickets must be purchased online prior to your arrival to the field. Follow the steps below to purchase your tickets. Please let me know if you have any questions.

1. Click this link: https://www.iahsaa.org/tickets/
2. Click on the picture that says "BASEBALL"
3. Select "1A"
4. Click "GET TICKETS" for the second option down, "District Round one At St. Mary's, Remsen" for July 10.
5. Enter how many tickets you need ($6 each, not including tax and fees)
6. Check out by entering your payment information. You will get a QR code sent to you by email that you must use to enter the gate Saturday night. These tickets are good for both games. We will play the second game starting around 7pm.

If you experience any technical issues, I am sorry. Online ticketing is new this year and any issues you experience are not the fault of ours, nor the host of the games. Thank you for your cooperation!

If you’re planning to attend the district playoff game on Saturday in Remsen, you will need to purchase tickets online ahead of time. More information will be shared in the coming days. Just note that no cash will be accepted at the gate. All transactions must be done online before the contest and e-tickets must be presented.

TIME CHANGE! Wednesday’s final home game of the season is now scheduled to start at 5:00 instead of 5:30 with Sioux Central. Due to a rain out tonight, SC has to travel and play Alta-Aurelia AFTER our game Wednesday to finish out their conference schedule. Please note that schedule changes like this are not easy to make happen. This is great creative work by the AD’s of Alta-Aurelia and Sioux Central. We’re happy to make a slight change to accommodate them!

The baseball team has two weeks left in the season, which includes a playoff game where we hope to extend into the postseason. This week is your last chance to catch the boys at home.

Monday: MNW comes into town to play one varsity game at 5:30. This is a makeup from last Friday.

Wednesday: Sioux Central visits for a varsity game at 5:30 as we close out conference play.

We then turn the calendars to July, and we see a change in the last week of the season. We no longer will travel to Estherville on the 6th. Instead,

Monday July 5, we will travel to Hartley to take on HMS. First pitch is yet to be determined. We will let you know soon about the start time.

We close out the regular season on July 8th in Lake Park as we take on HLP in a single varsity game at 6pm.

Playoffs begin Saturday July 10 at a site and opponent yet to be determined. Assignments will be decided next week.

Baseball tonight is at 5:30!! In Peterson with one varsity game only. My previous post said 7:00. My apologies for any mixups. Also, ignore our previous event for the game being streamed… not sure what that’s about. There will NOT be a video stream in Peterson tonight.
