š§ļøāļøāļøLetās talk about this season, of the year, and of life for me.
Itās been a challenge, to use simple terms.
Iāll just start with the weather, which is something none of us can control. Something we accept, as traveling vendors, setting up our tents in random places, like nomads with no set location .. and how our loyal customers find us, new customers find us, and it is so much fun 99 percent of the time!
I love this job so much, but this year has been rough, to say the least.
I wont bore you with the confusing details of rain dates that have caused havoc, and how literally the rain dates have had their OWN SECOND rain dates!!
Saturday was supposed to be the rain date for last week, and now itās moved to another rain date I canāt do. So I will not be at farmingdale fall fair, and it hurts because itās my special hometown .. and I wanted to be there very much.
I have not actually had a successful event in so long, I canāt remember the last one, maybe since the summer.
Rain, wind, bad storms have been constant. Never experienced a season such as this.
In my personal life, Iām weathering some physical issues, and illness, navigating those as best I can. But my joy is doing henna. My joy is being at fun events, where I meet awesome people, get to use this beautiful art form, hear great music, take in the scent of fried treats and street food.. itās all such a vibe.
Iāll get through this season, god willing. Of health, and Mother Nature killing my bank account. Itās been what I call āthe year of noā. I canāt do this, canāt eat that, canāt feel well, canāt make moneyā itās been very negative. But Iām not a quitter. I NEVER take no for an answer.
Iāve got a few more events scheduled, and at this point who knows if they will happen.
