We are honored to be in a building

constructed with great care and love with the intention of serving as a community spiritual center. Built by innovative spiritual seekers in 1840, the structure went through various incarnations and had been sitting empty for three years when we found it in 1998. Though the building needed repair, we sensed the original builders’ dedicated spirit. After a decade of renovation, we have renewed its original intended function. We continue the legacy to make MAMA the 21st-century edition of what the builders desired to establish- a spiritual & creative community center. Our vision is based on the ancient Greek healing temples where wellness encompasses the whole human being – body, mind, and spirit. In that vein, we offer diverse classes in: Yoga, tai chi, chi gung, Music Together, Guinea Dance, The Vanaver Caravan, Figures in Flight, Gung Fu, Contact Improv, Sound Healing, Shakitpat, and more. We also host a variety of concerts and community events, as well as host weddings, birthday parties, and all kinds of celebrations of life.
