When it rains, it pours

Race recap 7/19/2025

After a long week of switching motors on the #26 machine, we felt like we had a good unit going into race day. That feeling lasted until lap 3 of the first practice when our water pump exploded on us. Due to this, our mechanical fan took flight and went through our brand new radiator.

Luckily with the help from some great race teams around us, we were able to get a spare water pump (Thank you Cody Lapan) as well as our spare radiator in the car. Big time thank you to Craig Hurley, Chad Hurley, and Luggy for their tons of help they provided all night. Also want to thank Josh Gochie for lending us some much needed tools and Mike Kenison for giving us a radiator hose and helping get the spare parts put together. Without all of them we wouldn’t have gotten the car back out there.

Unfortunately we had to use our spare fan that doesnt pull enough air for the car and in return makes the car overheat. Due to this, we put the car out there for the heat and the feature for a couple laps each so we could get a few points and then we parked it.

We ordered the new parts but they have yet to come in so we will have to miss this weeks race. We have next week off as well so that gives the team plenty of time to go through the car and make sure everything is perfect for the end of the season.
