In Loving Memory of Tri-Tip
-A Cat Who Lived Exceptionally Well-
Yesterday we said goodbye to Tri-Tip, a cat who was far more than a pet - a steady and faithful companion, a wedding crasher extraordinaire! Tri-Tip was born in (approximately) 2011 and expired in 2026.
Tri-Tip earned her name long before she earned her permanent address. As a neighborhood cat, she had an uncanny sense for evenings when weddings were happening on the ranch. She showed up with impeccable timing, drawn by the irresistible promise of food, and never left without sampling the finest leftovers (tri tip).
Eventually, Tri-Tip decided there was no reason to keep visiting when she could simply stay. She moved in full-time, retired from her roaming days, and settled into a life of comfort, affection, and well-earned luxury. From then on, she lived like a queen - well fed and well loved.
Tri-Tip joined Tony on his daily coffee breaks with unwavering dedication, never missing an opportunity to be a part of the brainstorming that needed to take place each day. Tri-Tip rode proudly in Tony’s golf cart, wind in whiskers, completely certain this was normal and correct behavior for a cat of distinction.
A few impressive facts about Tri-Tip:
• She likely attended more weddings than most humans!
• She appeared in countless wedding photos.
• She considered priceless historical carriages perfectly acceptable places to nap.
Tri-Tip leaves behind her lifelong friend Guido Sarduchi the 3rd (dog companion with whom she shared a golf cart seat), and fellow cat mates “Lumpy” and “Bully Cat”.
Deeply loved and forever remembered. Tri-Tip lived a full, beautiful life - rich with coffee breaks, golf cart rides, museum nights, and a front-row seat to love. 🐾
