🐾🎸PICKIN’ FOR PAWS🪕🐾
🗓️Sunday, October 4th 2:00-6:00
📍The Greenwood Saloon, Bluff Dale, Tx

We are a week away from our favorite Sunday of the year!

This will be our fourth year of Pickin’ For PAWS and this is going to be our best year yet! We have some incredible items for our silent auction and the raffle is going to loaded with fun local prizes. Plus, your raffle ticket gets you in the 50/50 drawing. Last year’s winner took home over $900! We are also so excited to have Jw vending event rental, aka Wyatt’s Cold Ones, selling yummy ice creat treats and dirty sodas. Then if you’ve ever been to the Greenwood Saloon on a Sunday, you know about Ed Ogle’s Pickin’ Circle and if this is your first time get ready for some awesome local music! Pickin’ For PAWS is very much a family event. We are going to have an epic kids zone set up with face painting and tattoos, coloring, and another fun activities.

Then the whole reason for the day is the animals! We will have several of our adoptable animals with us on Sunday, looking for perfect forever homes. With Pickin’ For PAWS, of course, we’re hoping to raise money to help us continue caring for unwanted and abandoned animals, but above all we hope to educate the community on what we do and how important responsible animal ownership is. We look forward to seeing everyone and having a howling good time!

🚨 ATTENTION TEXAS FOOD TRUCK & MOBILE FOOD VENDORS! 🚨

Today is July 1, and there’s a BIG change you need to know about! 🇨🇱🌮🚚

Beginning July 1, mobile food vendors operating in Texas are required to be licensed through the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). The previous system of obtaining separate local health permits is being replaced with a single statewide license under the new law. (Houston Chronicle)

✅ One statewide license
✅ No more separate local health permits for each city or county
✅ Simpler process for many vendors operating across Texas (Houston Chronicle)

⚠️ Keep in mind: Cities may still enforce local rules related to zoning, fire safety, approved operating locations, and other local ordinances that are separate from food safety permitting. (Denison, TX)

📣 Help another food truck owner out!
