We must decide every day that we are going to love our spouse and forsake the advances of others if they should come. Too many are having "emotional affairs" and trying to live on the edge!

LEARN THESE RULES OF ENGAGEMENT! Refrain from using phrases such as "You always" or "You never" or "We always" or "We never" when having a discussion. Something about those phrases can be quote offensive and stir up anger. So, NEVER do that! LOL

Anything with two heads IS A FREAK! Submit to one another. Submit to God. Do NOT give Satan a foothold!

There are certain phrases we Christians tend to throw around - some call it “Christianese”- words and phrases others won’t understand, some of which can’t even be found in Scripture (like “rapture” and “pleading the blood”). One of those words is “Glory.” Some folks might respond by saying, “Sure! Haven’t you ever heard of ‘Shekinah Glory’?" Yes, but actually, the word 'shekinah' does not appear in the Bible, though the concept clearly does. [ 1,075 more word ]

“I must preach the good news of the Kingdom of Godto the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.” – Jesus. John 4:43 “…Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of God.” – Luke 8:1 Time and time again, I hear Christians use the expression, "Coming to Christ." They might say something like, "Brother, we had hundreds come to Christ at our last crusade!!" [ 2,441 more words ]

When God first spoke with Moses, listening to the old man's excuses, the Father asked, "What's that you have in your hand?" It was his shepherd's rod and God, in so many words, said, "GIVE IT TO ME!" I believe God is asking us the same question today. What's that we have in our hands? If we give it to Him, He can do so much more with it than we could ever imagine. [ 307 more words ]

Many years ago, during the darkest hour of my soul, a friend loaned me a book called “Prison to Praise” by Merlin Carothers. Norman Vincent Peale called this book, "A most inspired account of the grace of God working in a human life….it’s an enlightening book that is not about a prison with bars, but about a prison of circumstances - and how to be set free!” [ 497 more words ]

The average church Pastor is worthy of all the respect we can muster. It’s a tough job with a huge spiritual component. Hebrews 13:17 admonishes us with these words: "Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.” [ 506 more words ]

In John 16:7-11, Jesus describes the work and purpose of the Holy Spirit. He said, "It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness…” [ 834 more words ]

I am amazed at how often we who claim to be Followers of Jesus refer to 'the Kingdom of God' or 'Kingdom of Heaven' (used interchangeably in Scripture depending upon the audience), yet how few seem to have embraced this all-important concept. In my opinion, it's imperative that we know this and know it well. WARNING: The following teaching may alter your faith as you’ve known it! [ 1,320 more word ]

What if the Christians in your community prayed like you? What if they all exhibited the same level of faith as you? What if they all read the Scriptures as often as you or attended church services as often as you? When Jesus gave us what is referred to as “The Great Commission,” His directive to His disciples to spread the Gospel of the Kingdom to all people everywhere, He wasn’t instructing them to raise money for church buildings and overhead costs.
