As Rachael discussed during her presentation at MLitt Thesis Fest, her deep and lifelong love of the Tudor family coupled with her studies of Early Modern theatre have developed into an in depth look at how Elizabeth I's utilized specific iconography to reaffirm her connection and relation to Anne Boleyn.

On Monday 27th October, join us at the Blackfriars at 7:30pm for a special event! Scholar-playwright Evelyn Reidy (Roehampton University, current Artistic Fellow at the Folger Shakespeare Library) will give a talk about the research process for Very Small Trouble, her new play. “Very Small Trouble” dramatizes a series of real-life early modern performance-protests led by the women of a small town after Puritan attempts to shut down the May Day festivities. We’ll follow the talk with Constellation Shakespeare Collective’s staged reading of the final act of the play, directed by Pete Kirwan and Megan Parlett. Please join us to experience this beautiful, moving, funny, and surprisingly timely play!
