👨‍🍳 Meet Chef Travis – Your Lake Tahoe Personal Chef & Culinary Expert

Chef Travis, founder of Chef in Tahoe, brings passion, creativity, and fine-dining expertise to every event. His culinary journey began in 2005 when he decided to turn his love for cooking into a lifelong profession. He attended the Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon, where he earned his Associates of Occupational Studies Degree in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts — a program known for blending classic French techniques with modern culinary innovation and strong kitchen management skills.

After graduating in 2007, Chef Travis completed an externship under Chef Chris Mitchum at the Santa Rosa Grill inside the Hyatt Grand Champions Resort in Indian Wells, California. This invaluable experience refined his skills in high-end hospitality, menu design, and guest-focused service — qualities that now define every private dining experience he creates in Lake Tahoe.

Today, Chef Travis brings his Le Cordon Bleu training and years of professional experience to private events, weddings, corporate gatherings, and in-home chef services throughout South Lake Tahoe, North Lake Tahoe, Carson Valley, and Reno. His dishes are crafted with fresh, local ingredients and tailored to your unique taste — turning every meal into a memorable experience.
