🔥YEISON LANDERO W/ NEVARIS PROJECT (Feat Jojo Kuo of Fela Kuti)🔥
👉🏽Friday May 22 at

✨Presented by and 💫Secret Planet🌍

stands at the forefront of modern Colombian roots music as one of the leading exponents of cumbia sabanera — the vibrant, accordion-driven sound born in Colombia’s Caribbean heartland. Known as “el heredero de la cumbia” (the heir to cumbia), Landero delivers exhilarating, high-energy performances that fuse tradition with contemporary power, bringing Colombian soul music to new audiences around the world with authenticity and unmistakable charisma. 💃

🇨🇴 Hailing from San Jacinto in Colombia’s Montes de María province — the birthplace of cumbia sabanera — Yeison is the grandson of the legendary Andrés Landero, widely revered across Latin America as “el rey de la cumbia.” Andrés Landero helped shape what the world now recognizes as cumbia, translating the indigenous melodies of the gaita flutes into accordion lines, driving them with African-derived percussion, and giving voice to the lives of rural Indigenous and Afro-Colombian communities. Under his grandfather’s guidance, Yeison began studying accordion at the age of seven, inheriting not only a musical legacy but a cultural mission.

is a band from NYC led by percussionist Agustín Nevaris, who relocated to State College in 2021. The band brings funk, dub, and Afro-Latin grooves to the stage, with former Fela Kuti drummer behind the kit, alongside breakbeat specialist Lockatron. Agustin Nevaris provides vocals, congas, and keys, pulling from a catalog of four studio albums, including 2023’s “Reverberations,” produced by Bill Laswell and described by Carlos Santana as “supreme creativity”.

Joining them on May 22nd at Manny’s is grammy nominated bassist Josh Werner (Lee Perry, Matisyahu, James Brandon Trio), and grammy nominated multi-instrumentalist Peter Apfelbaum (Hieroglyphics, Phish, Don Cherry), and guitarist Matt Dickey.

🌌CENTA SCHUMACHER 🔥 LENS & LIGHT 🔥 // RHONEYMEADE WEEKEND ✨

Centa Schumacher is a Pittsburgh-based artist working with photography, video, and textiles. Her lens-based practice examines the transformative power of scale and light, drawing from cosmology, deep space imagery, and western mystery traditions. 📸 Using manipulations of the photographic process including modified lenses, specialty filters, and double exposure, she creates images that exist parallel to but do not overlap with objective reality.

Her work invites you into spaces that feel both familiar and otherworldly. Solo projects have appeared at 707 Gallery, Silver Eye Center for Photography, and Bunker Projects in Pittsburgh. Nationally, her photographs have been featured at Paradice Palace in Brooklyn, Aggregate Space in Oakland, and Art Ark Gallery in San Jose. Each image is a portal, a conversation between what we see and what lies beyond.

Experience Centa’s vision during the weekend at Rhoneymeade . Step into the transformed space where light becomes language and scale becomes sanctuary.

NATURAL INFORMATION SOCIETY — LIVE AT MANNY’S
WED MAY 13 //
Presented by Secret Planet &

Chicago’s Natural Information Society comes through for their first Central PA stop — a group that has quietly shaped the sound of contemporary experimental music over the past decade.

Led by composer + multi-instrumentalist Joshua Abrams, NIS creates long-form, immersive music often described as ecstatic minimalism — rooted in jazz, minimalism, and traditional musics from around the
world.

The core of the sound centers around the harmonium — building cycles of rhythm and tone that evolve slowly, locking into a deep, meditative pulse. It’s music that doesn’t rush… it opens up.

Live, the group incorporates the visual work of Lisa Alvarado — large-scale painted backdrops that move with the sound, creating a full environment where music and visual art are inseparable.

NIS has featured an evolving cast of collaborators over the years including Hamid Drake, Jeff Parker, and Ben Lamar Gay — always centered around collective focus, repetition, and a shared rhythmic
language.
