Have you ever wondered how I come up with ideas for an event, or what the thinking process behind it looks like?

It’s definitely not a cookie-cutter process. I choose not to work with set packages because, for me, it’s all about building a relationship and making sure your specific vision becomes a reality.

There are many hours of work that happen behind the scenes before I even inflate a single balloon for the final product. I often send a mock-up to the customer and that can change from time to time, and that is ok. I do this to give them a visual.
Everything is truly custom-tailored to you—to make you shine.

I’ve put together a few samples of what that process looks like when it all finally comes together. Take a look!

What a night! The Star Chamber of Commerce held their annual awards banquet and what an incredible evening it was at RARE Steakhouse!

It was wonderful to be in a room full of local businesses and individuals recognized not just for their hard work, but for how much they truly care about our community.

I am still trying to process the fact that The Balloon Biz was awarded Business of the Year. To say I’m humbled and surprised is an understatement—I truly had no idea!

At the end of the day, I just love what I do. The real reward is the joy balloons bring to this community. Thank you for supporting my passion—I am so grateful!

A huge thank you to Masumi and to our new Executive Board and the Chamber Ambassadors who rolled up their sleeves to help with setup and tear-down for this special event.

You guys are amazing and are the backbone of these events!

I’ve got an interesting fact for you! My first experience with this happened way WAY back in the day during a winter event in Temecula. It was 4:00 AM (yes, 4:00 AM!), and I went into the tent to pop the helium balloons, thinking I’d be in and out.

But when I poked them with a pin... NOTHING. No sound. No bang. They just hung there in mid-air!

Because it was so cold, the latex had become "chilled" and sticky. Instead of popping, they just clung to my pin and scissors! I had to manually squeeze the air out of every single one to get a pop. LOL.

It turns out air-filled balloons do the exact same thing when they’ve been up for a long time—just like my candy cane structure here.

It's a wrap... The experiment has officially come to an end!

In the last post on December 17, I mentioned I was putting the 7' candy cane back outside for a "test to the death," and the results are in!
I wanted to see how long it took for Mother Nature to win.

Photo #1- Inflated November 1st
Photo #2 – Dolled it up for a western theme December 6—7th
Photo #3 – 12/18/25 Placed 60 pounds of weight at the base. Hardware was sound and latex balloons still looking pretty good.
Photo #4 – 12/26/25 deterioration of latex is VERY noticeable.
Photo #5 –12/28/25 Wind spun the hook to the other side, appearance too painful to look at…

The experiment is officially over!!!

I love doing these behind-the-scenes "torture tests" because it allows me to vet my materials and techniques. It’s my way of ensuring that the balloons and hardware I source for my clients are the best on the market.

If these materials can survive two months of winter storms in a test environment, I have 100% confidence they will stay looking crisp, vibrant, and flawless for the duration of your event.

My goal is always to provide "Fresh-From-The-Studio" quality, and these tests prove that my techniques are built to last!

Star Chamber of Commerce Christmas Tree Update! We just heard from the lucky winner whose tree was packed with gift certificates from amazing local businesses!

The Brain Gal behind The Balloon Biz surprised them with a hand-crafted balloon candy cane... which was supposed to be 7-8 feet, but ended up being a whopping 9-FOOT-TALL MASTERPIECE!

Went even further and trimmed in a snowy white cloud, topped with a Santa, peppermints, and gift boxes. Talk about kicking off the holiday spirit with a HUGE smile!

All in a days work! These 3' beauty's are suspended from the highest point throughout the store for Floor & Decor's grand opening tomorrow in Eagle. Come see them and everything else at Floor & Decor in Eagle! Doors open tomorrow!

Went for a walk today and truly felt like I was walking right into a painting. What a gift to experience nature first-hand.

The Nampa Civic Center was absolutely rocking yesterday, Saturday, November 8th!

So, how did my booth fit in? I wasn't selling chocolate or crafts, but my whimsical display was THE place to be for unforgettable holiday photos! Everyone was having a blast posing for pics.

The BEST part? Seeing those familiar faces who make it an annual tradition to snap a photo with my setup! Seeing you all smile because of my balloons.... is my happy place. Creativity, color, and smiles—that's what it's all about!
