🔔 Business Closure Announcement — Our Loving Village 🔔

After 13 years of service to children and families in rural West Texas, we are officially closing the doors of Our Loving Village, Child Care License #1717285.

On July 17, 2023, a devastating fire tore through the building we were transforming into a 24/7 childcare center designed to serve over 100 children—a sacred space rooted in love, equity, and community. That building held more than bricks and mortar. It held dreams, years of sacrifice, and the beating heart of a caregiver’s vision to raise a village.

Since that day, we’ve fought to rebuild—not just a building, but hope. But the truth is, even the most passionate and persistent care providers cannot survive in a system that refuses to support them.

Childcare providers are the invisible backbone of every thriving community. We hold the babies so others can build. We teach, nourish, soothe, and protect. But we are burning out—and too often, we are doing it alone.

Our Loving Village was created to be more than a business—it was a promise to our rural community. A promise that every child deserves care. That every family deserves dignity. That caregivers, most of whom are Black, Brown, and women, deserve to be seen, heard, and valued.

Today, that promise doesn’t end. It transforms.

We are asking you—our community, our neighbors, our leaders—to carry the vision forward:

💛 Continue to advocate for affordable, accessible childcare.
💛 Uplift and invest in the people who care for our youngest.
💛 Believe in and build villages, not just buildings.

You can take the visionary out of the village, but the vision still remains.

Thank you, Stamford. Thank you to every parent who entrusted us with your children. Thank you to every supporter who saw the light in our mission. Though Our Loving Village is closing, we remain deeply committed to a future where care is protected, providers are honored, and children thrive.

After the Fire, A Safe Place Will Rise Again 🔥🌱

There was a time not long ago when ash, fear, and devastation tried to silence the love we poured into this village.

The fire that destroyed our center didn’t just burn walls—it tried to burn down hope. But what it didn’t know is this: love has roots deeper than flames, and seeds of care bloom even in soil scorched by hate.

Our Loving Village was never just a building—it was a promise. A promise that every child deserves joy, safety, and belonging. That promise is being renewed in the heart of village visionaries who stand tall against the flames.

While we’re not ready to open any time soon, we are rebuilding. And not just with wood and nails, but with the resilience of those who’ve held tiny hands through chaos, with the prayers of mothers and fathers who dare to believe in restoration, and with the power of community that refuses to let hate have the final word.

With God and goodness in the universe we will prepare a place once again—where children are not only welcomed, but cherished. Where wonder is sacred. Where love, even after ruin, returns stronger.

After working vigilantly for more than 4 years to manifest Our Loving Village's 100+ childcare center, we suffered a total loss fire July 17,2023 on two-thirds of the building. Not only did this sabotage cause physical & financial setbacks, the emotional toll it took on the community we serve costs the most!

As BriTanya Shanice, (Miss BB) and her two children recover from this loss, we called for our village to show up for us! Unfortunately, that took more time & effort than we planned. We received hundred of phone calls asking when we'd be re-opening but not much support to help it rise from the ashes!

NEVERTHELESS, we are presenting MORE opportunities for Stamford and the surrounding areas to support our efforts.

We are doing everything in our power to recover & rebuild the resource our community needs BUT we cannot do it alone!

The way our local village shows up now, will determine how Our Loving Village will show up in return! So let's make it great!

After all, it takes a village. Our economy runs on child care.
