Why Blaufränkisch? 🍷 For our w**emaker, Darren, it comes down to finding a grape that's well suited to growing in the Hudson Valley.

With the earthy, savory qualities often associated with Pinot Noir, Blaufränkisch produces a light- to medium-bodied red with notes of black and white pepper, while being better adapted to our region's colder winters.

Before there was Milea Estate Vineyard, there was Barry and Sang. 🍷

The story of the estate stretches back to 1984, when Barry and his father, “Papa Joe” Milea, acquired the historic farm property that would eventually become Milea Estate Vineyard.

Sang, who grew up on a farm in Korea, brought her own deep connection to the land. Today, she is the driving force behind the estate’s organic gardens and remains closely involved in the w**emaking, helping ensure the w**es reflect the Hudson Valley terroir.

In 2015, Barry and Sang brought a longtime dream to life and officially launched Milea Estate Vineyard, with a commitment to sustainably produced regional w**es and supporting local farmers.

More than a decade later, the estate still carries the story, passions, and vision of the two people who started it all.

We’re harvesting Vignoles at Milea Estate. If Vignoles is new to you, it’s a French-American hybrid grape known for its naturally high acidity and expressive aromatic character. Here at Milea, it’s an important part of our Hudson Heritage collection.

Grown right here in our Hudson River Region estate vineyards, our Vignoles is a dry, texturally complex white with notes of grilled pineapple, ripe passionfruit, dried apricot, and lemon, balanced by bright citrus acidity and a creamy, structured mouthfeel.

Another vintage begins. We can’t wait to see what this harvest brings.

Join us for one of the most memorable evenings of the summer!

On Saturday, August 15th, Sang's Dinner in the Vineyard returns to Sang's Cabernet Franc block for an intimate outdoor dining experience unlike any other at Milea. Enjoy a Korean-inspired wood-fired tasting menu by Executive Chef David Kim and the Milea culinary team, thoughtfully paired w**es, and the debut of the newest vintage of Sang's Cabernet Franc as the sun sets over the Hudson Valley.
