Utopia, is defined as being in an ideal state. Thus, our interaction is designed to take you away, engage you, and place you in a celebratory state through music and dance. We provide a unique service in our market with incredible engaging and talented dancers, personable, charismatic emcees and DJ’s attuned to reading, reacting and playing to a diverse crowd of musical tastes and demographics. The strength of our service and professionalism of our product has ultimately led us into other markets.
Our History:
Neal and Jodi Goone were thrilled with how well their second child’s bar mitzvah party went. The dancing, the music, the atmosphere were all just what they wanted. There was only one problem. They had to go to a Chicago company to get it because there was, at the time, not a high-quality, high-energy interactive dancing DJ company in St. Louis.
Most of the Bar and Bat Mitzvah entertainment in St. Louis usually had one DJ playing older music, maybe one emcee, and that’s it. They wanted something more, something they felt was really professional. So, that was the impetus for the creation of Utopia Entertainment. The company was founded in 2002 after Jodi left her job as an educator at Solomon Schechter Day School to take on the new enterprise full-time.
Our Future:
Utopia has worked hard to set up top-notch galas for everything from weddings to school events to corporate get-togethers. Utopia runs events from coast-to-coast helping facilitate everything from conferences for the “dog whisperer” himself, to galas and fundraisers from 100 to 100,000 people.
“At the end of your event, it has very little to do with the amount of money we are paid. It’s about being able to provide people with a memory and an experience you won’t forget,” Neal said, “you’ll feel like family, not a number. And you'll know that Utopia played such a huge role in making your special event a lifelong memory.”
