• from “I do” to a growing family — getting to document life’s biggest chapters never gets old. 🏀📸

Jaeden + Emma have quickly become two of our favorite people to have in front of the camera. We had the pleasure of documenting their wedding day last October, celebrated their growing family with a maternity session this past summer, and now we’ve officially met the newest (and tiniest) member of the Smith family — Mr. Creed!

At this point, “clients” doesn’t really fit anymore — we just call each other friends. Getting to visit their first home together, catch up, play with the cats and document these first moments as a family of three made this session that much more special.

Jaeden + Emma, congratulations on your beautiful little boy. He is absolutely perfect, and we’re so thankful you continue to trust us with each new chapter of your story.

• after nearly two decades photographing weddings, it’s not often that we get to experience a “first” anymore — but, this one was just that!

Levi + Trai said “I do” last month at Cuba, Missouri’s newest wedding venue, LakeView Farm Weddings and Events, LLC — and, they were the very first couple to do so. Which also means we had the honor of being the first photographer to document a wedding there. It’s a beautiful venue that will surely be enjoyed by couples and their guests for many years to come.

There’s also something special about working a wedding in the same town where first began. As expected, there were familiar faces everywhere & plenty of catching up took place. It made an already memorable day that much more enjoyable to be a part of! Levi + Trai were incredibly kind, easygoing & an absolute pleasure to spend the day with.

Congratulations, newlyweds — we hope you love your teasers as much as we do!

• SOME SESSIONS ARE JUST A LITTLE EXTRA MAGICAL.. ✨🎈

Last weekend took us to Forest Park in St. Louis for one of the neatest family sessions we’ve ever had the opportunity to photograph — at the balloon race!

We absolutely love when clients want to step outside the box and do something a little different. If you have an idea that’s out of the norm, chances are we’re going to be 100% game — and this session is exactly why!

Not only did we have the incredible backdrop of hot air balloons filling Forest Park, but we also got to celebrate Miss Maeva’s FIRST birthday! Mom and Dad absolutely nailed her setup — from the basket and birthday hat to the floating balloons, Maeva had people passing by stopping in their tracks with plenty of “awhs” along the way.

And really… can you blame them? She completely stole the show.

Thank you to Brandon + Lauren for letting us capture such a fun, colorful and completely one-of-a-kind milestone for their family. We hope there are many more sessions to come!

• wedding season is officially in full swing, and today we’re excited to share a first look at Isaiah & Maggie's wedding day!

This was one of those celebrations that seemed to pass far too quickly. From a beautiful venue and a pit stop at one of their favorite local bars, to racing for b**r cans, plenty of laughter and some incredible sunset portraits to close out the evening — their day was filled with the kind of moments we love getting to document.

Isaiah & Maggie trusted the process, embraced every idea we threw their way and gave us so many genuine moments to work with — and their teaser is only the beginning of what they can expect in their full feature film. Congratulations, newlyweds! 🎥🤍

• one of our favorite parts about engagement sessions is getting the chance to know our couples before the big day — and we absolutely loved spending some time with Dalton + Paige last week!

We got to hear more about their story, their lives and careers, their roles as Mom + Dad, and of course, all the plans they’re putting together for their wedding next year. There’s something pretty special about getting to know the people in front of the camera before we’re there documenting one of the biggest days of their lives.

If these engagement portraits are any indication of what’s to come, we already know we’re in for something incredible. Congratulations on your engagement, you two!

• hot doesn’t even begin to describe this wedding day — but you’d never know it looking at these two. Brett + Luci powered through the Missouri heat like it was nothing, and somehow managed to look this good doing it! 😍💍

From start to finish, this day was FUN! A wedding party full of familiar faces, nonstop laughs, and quite possibly the best hype team you could ask for made every part of the day that much better.

And then Luci decided to casually surprise EVERYONE at the reception by cutting her hair to her shoulders! Talk about a wedding-day plot twist. She absolutely loved it — as she should, because she definitely pulls it off!

As the sun started to drop, we headed into the vineyards at White Mule Winery for sunset portraits, and they did not disappoint. Brett + Luci are ridiculously photogenic, but more than that, their love for each other shines through in every single image. Those are always our favorite photographs — the ones where you can actually feel it.

We cannot WAIT for these two to see their teasers — and everything else we have in store for them when they receive their full Wedding album. Congratulations, Mr. + Mrs. Scheel!

• a one hour session was the plan — but then Bobby + Mandy happened. 💍🔥

I’ve known Mandy for many years, so when she reached out and asked me to photograph her Wedding next year, I couldn’t have been more excited. Then I met Bobby — and within minutes, it was easy to see just how happy these two truly are together. He was incredibly kind, the three of us instantly clicked, and what was supposed to be a quick one-hour engagement session somehow turned into an entire evening together.

We photographed until the sun disappeared, talked and laughed long after the cameras should’ve been packed away, and our cars didn’t leave the parking lot until the sun was gone. Those are always my favorite kinds of sessions — the ones where somewhere along the way, it stops feeling like work and simply feels like spending time with good people.

Mandy + Bobby, I am SO thrilled with how these turned out and even more excited for what’s ahead. If your engagement session was this much fun, I have a feeling your Wedding Day is going to be one for the books.

Couples like this are why we fell in love with weddings in the first place. 🤍📸

We first met Ashton + Viridiana last summer during their engagement session, and from the very beginning it was clear they had something special. Kind, genuine, full of laughter, and completely in step with one another — it didn't take long to know their wedding day would be just as enjoyable.

Yet somehow, it exceeded every expectation.

Viridiana was absolutely breathtaking, Ashton looked sharp as ever, and every part of the day felt authentic. From an emotional first look with the father of the bride to a reception that turned into an unforgettable celebration — crowd surfing, dollar bills flying through the air, and a dance floor so full of energy we could hardly decide where to point our cameras — it was one of those nights you never want to end.

Ashton + Viridiana, thank you for trusting us with one of the biggest days of your lives. The love surrounding you was impossible to miss, and after spending the day with your family and friends, it's easy to understand why. It was an absolute honor to tell your story. Congratulations to you both!

• some weddings are special because of the moments. Others are special because of the people. This one was both. 💍🥂

This past weekend, we had the privilege of documenting Jacob + Sarah’s Wedding Day — and for us, it was a reminder of just how incredible it is to watch life come full circle.

Long before cameras, timelines, and wedding films.. there was a friendship that started back in childhood. Jacob and I never could have imagined that one day I'd be documenting one of life's biggest milestones for him and his wife, yet somehow.. there we were.

What stood out most throughout the day wasn't just the history behind it all, though. It was the way Jacob + Sarah looked at one another. The quiet moments. The laughter. The effortless way they moved through the day together. It's easy to see that these two have found something truly special.

Jacob + Sarah, thank you for trusting us to tell your story. It was an honor to celebrate alongside you and preserve these memories for generations to come. Congratulations, newlyweds!
