Ladies and gentlemen, the day we have always dreaded is upon us. MAD DOG is retiring.
It is a devastating loss and not one that can be replaced. He is and has been: family, the steward and soul of The Thaxton Building, master of ceremonies, a painter, a photographer, a sound and light technician, a woodworker, a creator of stagecraft, a magician, held a career as an Elvis impersonator, and has even sung the national anthem, to name just a few of his talents.
He is the baddest of the bad and the maddest of the mad—a true Renaissance Man. We are blessed to have stood beside him for so long.
He has embarked on the next chapter, moving away from city living and into the natural landscape of Seattle, WA, to be close to his son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren.
While his absence will be profound, we are very, very excited and happy for him!
Ladies and gentlemen!!!! Mad Dog…has left the building.
