and…WE’RE BACK! If you identify as LGBTQIA+ near Philly and have always wanted to explore afro-latin dance music and history (Salsa, Bachata, Zouk, Merengue, Cumbia) in an inclusive safe space this is for you!

Join us FREE this summer at .fdr 12-4pm from April - October, starting Sunday, April 19th!

A Message From DJ Cassiana

Brandon Hampton and I started QAL Dance at HandlebarSTL in May 2022. Tatyana and all the Handlebar staff were the first people to believe in our mission of creating Q***r empowering Afro-Latin dance spaces. We have consistently hosted our events with the support and enthusiasm of St. Louis and could not be more grateful. A huge thank you goes to Jenn and Aaron for facilitating QAL Dance in my absence.

After today, Feb 15th , QAL Dance and I will be taking a well deserved break from hosting consistent events in St. Louis to reestablish our mission now with me being located in Philadelphia.

This is most certantly not a goodbye. This is a See You Later. QAL Dance will host events in the future in St. Louis, Philly, and more. This is the beginning of a new journey, and I can’t wait to take you all with me. Stay Tuned!
