You won't find us on The Knot or WeddingWire and that's intentional. Let me tell you why.

Those platforms are built on a pay-to-play model. Vendors pay a lot of money to be seen, ranked higher, and stay competitive. That means when you’re scrolling, you’re not necessarily seeing the best fit for you, rather you’re seeing who can afford to be at the top.

Pricing pressure gets created behind the scenes and vendors are pushed to compete in ways that often have nothing to do with quality of service and everything to do with marketing budgets. Not to say that those at the top don't deserve to be there, just that there are more factors at play.

So, if you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, like everything looks the same, or like you can’t quite tell who’s actually right for you… you’re not crazy. It is designed that way.

I don’t want to be chosen because I paid to be in front of you. I want to be chosen because you resonate with how I work, how I communicate, and how I show up for my couples.

That’s why you will find us on Zola. Zola feels different. It’s more transparent, less saturated, and gives couples space to actually explore vendors without as much pressure or manipulation behind the scenes.

That said, most of our couples don’t find us from a directory at all. Instead, they find us through connection and referrals. Which is exactly how it should be and what we strive for.

So, if you're exploring us as a coordination or officiating option, know that you found us for a reason. And we're so happy you did.

Events, we stand behind our comprehensive planning packages, but we also understand that sometimes, you don’t need full planning or even full coordination. You just need the right support in the moments that matter most.

For Janie + Luke, that meant a custom package focused on exactly what they needed: we set up their decor and seamlessly ran their ceremony… and that’s it.

Important Update Regarding Rice + Co. Events Styled Workshops

It is with a heavy heart that I write to inform you that we have made the difficult decisions to cancel all three of our upcoming Styled Workshop events.

As many of you know, these shoots are a collaborative volunteer effort between all vendors involved. Unfortunately, due to continued challenges in coordinating schedules, we've faced repeated delays and rescheduling. After much consideration, we believe that the most respectful and professional course of action is to step back from these events rather than risk causing further frustration and inconvenience for our valued participants and vendor partners.

Full refunds for the remaining workshops will be processed on June 5th. Emails have gone out to all vendors and participants from [email protected]. Please check your spam and let me know if you have not received this email.

Please know this decision was not made lightly. This is not how I prefer to run any aspect of my business, and I deeply regret any disappointment this causes, as I share your sentiment. However, given the circumstances, I believe this to be the most responsible and considerate option for all involved.

Thank you so much for your support, understanding, and the time and energy many of you have already contributed to past Styled Workshop events. I am grateful for each of you, and I hope to have the opportunity to collaborate again in the future under better-aligned circumstances.
