When I see something like a spray rose, one of the first things I notice are the petal layers. There’s soo many! Something unique about a rose, is that even when one looses its first outer layers, you are able to peel ones from underneath back, and there you’ll find freshened, deeper layers inside that are becoming the new body of the flower.
God made us the same way. We grow too, first having outer layers that are fresh, when overtime, they become worn and maybe tattered. As we grow and mature, circumstances of life happen that can dry out those first layers, leaving some tired from trying to figure out the world on their own.
But God.
He gives us the opportunity to have our layers peeled back by His Spirit and the truths that He speaks over us, leaving His people with fresh and strengthened layers that are protected by His armor.
By our first layers being shed, our deeper layers become parts of us that God can incredibly use for His glory.
Random thoughts, but it’s so cool what all He can say through His creation :)
