Springs Historical Society/Springs Folk Festival SHS operates the Springs Folk Festival, Farmer's Market, Dr. Schrock Nature Trail, Museum, and Folk Meetinghouse venue. The Folk Festival is October 4 and 5.

The Springs Historical Society, a non-profit organization, welcomes you to the Farmer's Market, Museum, Nature Trail, Folk Festival, and Summer Programs. Market open Saturdays 7-1 beginning Memorial Day weekend. Museum open Saturdays 9-3, May 25, 2024 through October 5. Call 814-634-1489 to schedule a tour at other times. Museum and summer programs are free, but donations are welcome to keep our history alive. See also www.springspa.org.

Allegany County is celebrating Mountain Maryland Museum Week https://www.mdmountainside.com/museum-week/. The Springs Museum encourages all to take part in the wonderful resources in the area. We'll be open Friday and Saturday this week from 9-3 if anyone wants to venture over this way.

THREE MORE DAYS until Lynn (Brown) Shaffer delivers her presentation on the 125th anniversary of the Somerset County Fair, Pa here at our station! Lynn's program will begin at 7 p.m. this Monday, June 16th, and we invite all of you to attend! While you're here check out the special display Lynn has arranged in honor of the occasion. (And yes, there will be refreshments afterwards - including everyone's favorite - burnt sugar cake!)
