Good Morning Everyone it’s Michigan Cup Friday the weather looking good for the weekend. Gates open today at Noon. Mini-wedge practice at 5:00pm. Group qualifying starts at 5:20pm until 8pm. Party in the pits at the short bus.

We are less than 1 Week away from Michigan Cup ###VI! We are also honoring a driver who formally called Springport Mid-Michigan Speedway home Mr. Ian Sprague. Ian passed away unexpectedly on September 5th. Ian is the younger brother to our Announcer Sean Sprague, and the whole weekend is in his honor. If you finish in 6th place, since he was car #6, you will receive a $100 bonus for the FWDS, Modifieds, and Limited Late Models in your feature events. Sean and his family has put up $150 for the Template Late Models, and Street Stocks since those were the 2 divisions he competed in. Also we will be doing a missing man formation for ALL FEATURES leaving 6th place open in honor of Ian. Fans we ask that lap 6 of all features be free of cheering and hold up 6 fingers in his honor. Ian's door panels will be on display in the museum on the concourse located on the grand stand side. Ian's wife Marissa will also be in attendance the whole weekend. Please share racing stories with her if you have any. We look forward to seeing you all at SMMS for Michigan Cup ###VI! ! !

MINI-WEDGES will be allowed to run either slicks or dirt tires for the 2025 Michigan Cup.
This rule will allow you to adjust to track conditions, and maybe bring more kids.
The springport 2024 mini-wedge rules do apply for this event excluding tires.
