Molly and I had the day blocked off for an event we needed to attend… but when this bride called last minute asking if the date was available, something about the conversation stopped me. She was genuinely kind. The type of person you just don’t say no to.

So I didn’t.
I shifted my schedule, made it work, and showed up — even if it meant being late to my own event — because making her day special mattered.

One day Molly and I were out of town and a delivery was coming in. Our daughter was home alone. Spencer didn’t hesitate. He helped her carry the heavy dance floor pieces into our garage like it was nothing. That moment told me everything I needed to know.
