I’ve been stalling hard core from writing this goodbye. However, I have a big announcement to make and I can’t stall anymore.
Most of you know that my end goal has always been to travel more with Babe once the kiddos flew the nest. His work takes him on the road most of the year and we have NEVER lived together 365. I’ve been slowly changing Lollie’s business model, taking less new clients, and doing more corporate and nonprofit but it’s been incredibly hard to completely walk away.
You built me. You believed in a girl and her dream and you threw your dreams at me. You let me plan the special events in your life. You believed in my visions and my capability to pull them off.
Some of you I’ve been blessed to do big birthdays, multiple graduations, proposals, weddings, babies… We’ve celebrated together, we cried together, we’ve conquered problems that would have broken lesser people.
You allowed me to be a present mother and your support allowed my kids to chase their dreams. Your belief and trust taught me to believe and trust in myself.
It would be impossible to thank you adequately for what you’ve done for me and my family so instead of trying I am sharing where I go from here.
I am incredibly excited to announce that I’ve accepted a position with I Pour Life. This organization means the world to me (I started working with their Ethiopian outreach five years ago this month.) Running a business in Springfield, Missouri has been a gift. Your generosity has taught me to always be generous with my time and my talents. The ability to focus my energy on helping them move their culture and vision forward is a dream come true and I can’t wait to share that journey with you.
I will miss organizing your special moments but hope I still get invited out onto the dance floor.
Gratefully yours,
A
