For all my Springfield friends, neighbors and friends I haven't met yet..
This Saturday I am having an 'Open Yard' party..all can come..We will be doing basic BBQ, BYOB and playing 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?'. This will be alot of fun and a great way to meet new people and gain some new friends. I've been so busy lately I have neglected to post new dishes so here goes last nights dinner. First we have coconut roasted red bell pepper stuffed with egg and avocado on a bed of baby spinach topped with strips of sharp cheddar cheese. Main course is jumbo shrimp sautéed in fresh pineapple, mango chia and rosemary, on a bed of wild rice surrounded with fresh pineapple and roma tomatoes. Served with a triple wine fresh sangria. Mmmmmm..that's dinner! I apologize for the pictures. I don't know if I had one too may glasses of sangria or if my camera was on the fritz..

Well, this weekend I am cooking an outdoor event for 20-25 people. Serving will be interesting. I hope none of my servers trip and spill on a guest. Menu is brisket on the grill, marinated in a sweet fire sauce, warm potato and egg salad with tons of petite diced vegetables, Grilled Asparagus marinated in natural cream and terragon grilled strawberries coated in solid sugar and for an alcoholic refresher, Tipsy Watermellon. I have suggested Cinnamon S'Mores for dessert but stll waiting on that approval. Should be fun if no one falls or eats too much Watermellon!

This weekend we honor our men and women,past and present, that are currently and have in the past served our country. Many have lost their lives in potecting this place we raise our families in and realise our dreams. To honor those brave people on Monday, I will be hosting a great outdoors fest complete with childrens games, great food, my own S'Mores around my fire pit and a special moment of thanks to those beautiful people, Anyone is welcome to attend for a $20 per person fee or contact me before hand if you choose to bring food instead so I may be prepared to cook what you choose to bring.This is a BYOB event, however if you are a cocktail user rather than beer, gourmet cocktails will be made with your chosen alcohol. Jeff Clouser, Steve Womack, John Naff, Joe Mahler, this weekend needs to be decided. Wines, fresh herbs, meats, vegetables, sweets...what can you all bring if you are coming? and of course all friends and family are welcome under the same circumstances. It is a BYOB event!

With the holiday weekend approaching I am having an open house cookout for all my personal friends and customers as a thank you for your kind words.. Bring whatever ingredients you care to and I will make us a great meal and desserts and cocktails. If you plan to attend and would like suggestions on what to bring please call me on my personal line and I will be happy to discuss the needs to complete the day. Weather permitting we will end the night with my famous S'Mores over my bonfire. Bring the kids too! We will have games and teats for them and please feel free to bring any friends.
