Hi there 🪻 It's been about 6 weeks since my Mikey passed & I've been absent here, so I figured I should pull together an update. I am doing pretty well... this week 😌 I hate to say I'm grateful we slow down here in July and August but it served me well this year. We've only hosted I think 1 elopement since that dire July day, so I've had some time to focus on our family and our other needs. This weekend kicks off our 15 events in 2 months... its Fall y'all!! 🍁 It feels like a cool Fall day out here today, we hosted a lovely ceremony this afternoon and tomorrow we get to enjoy this elegant tent from for a full reception. I'm feeling pretty good being back at it, however with so many already booked for Fall as well as Spring and Summer next year, I am continuing to keep a pause on new communications and bookings. I really want to be able to focus on my couples who've already booked as I continue to navigate the messier parts of my life.
Thank you all for your love, support and understanding!! Although I have not been good at replying to everyone, I see you, I feel your love, and I'm SO grateful!!

We are terribly heartbroken to announce the passing of my beloved husband, Mike Gideon. Many of you know Mike as the charismatic, might I add handsome, man who joined you & your spouse together in marriage here at Enchanted Hills. He had been officiating weddings here since March 2020 & he truly loved it. He was much more than our officiant though, he helped with so many aspects of our family business, he loved it here & loved meeting people & helping to make sure everyone felt welcome here. I was lucky enough to have met Mike & we fell quickly, deeply in love nearly 14 years ago. He is the love of my life, he taught me so much, we created a joyous life together, he was an amazing dad to his beautiful daughter, Haiden Serena & everyone who met Mike admired his genuine warmth. Mike passed peacefully at home last Sunday July 27th. He is already tremendously missed, we will love & remember him forever.
Thank you all for your patience & understanding as we pause any new bookings or communication for an undetermined time. We will be here for our already booked events.

Enchanted Hills property was a mill in the late 1800’s. We have a large natural spring creating stunning waterfalls and a 1 acre pond. The spring averages over 3 million gallons per day and is never dry! The home was built in 1936 by Springfield attorney Elijah Bates, and in 1950 my great grandparents, Pearl & Herman Hoffmeister bought the home & property. My dad, Steffan and his sister Lesda, would spend their Summers here visiting from California and their grandparents recognized the love Steffan had for this magical place. Upon their passing, Enchanted Hills was left to Steffan in 1994 and he moved our family here from CA. In 1996 my mom Laura had the wonderful idea to begin hosting weddings here to help pay for upkeep of the land, and although she has since moved out of state, I still remember helping her with weddings here when I was just a young child! I took the business over in 2009 and now my dad and I continue to sink our hearts into Enchanted Hills and reap the rewards of witnessing so many lovely unions!
