What an incredible stay—and an even better pick—at earlier this week!

Chaise and Stephanie, our auction winners, made the trip to select a barrel of Sazerac Rye 100 proof… and we truly think we found a standout!

A huge thank you to Ken Huels for generously donating the spots, for hosting an amazing barrel tasting experience, and the Huels brothers, Chris and Tim, for their continued support, generosity, and for making the trip so memorable.

From start to finish, it was an unforgettable experience. We can’t wait for this barrel to arrive at so we can relive the memories of the auction and the pick with every sip. Cheers!

Couldn’t have said it better!

Today is such a special day for our "little" bourbon society. I'm sure you've heard, but if you haven't, BSO partners with Whiskey Tangos Beer and Spirits to put on the annual Ozarks Whiskey and Wine Social

Because of the generosity, enthusiasm, and support of here, we were able to donate $114,330.52 to Down Syndrome Group of the Ozarks AND an additional $114,330.52 to The Potter's House. If you don't want to do the math, that's a total donation of $228,661.04!

I've said this before, and I'll say it again - I'd love to be proven wrong, but I believe this is the largest charity whiskey event in the history of Missouri. Bigger than anything in Kansas City, bigger than St. Louis. If I'm wrong, please tell me, we'd love to have a goal to reach for!

What started as people simply sharing their love for bourbon has grown into something much bigger - a group of people willing to step up and help others. Pretty awesome for a bunch of people sitting around drinking whiskey and posting on Facebook, right?

The real impact comes from all of you who continue to participate, contribute, and believe that a group built around a bottle of bourbon can continue to do real good in our little corner of southwest Missouri.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Whether you've been here since the beginning or just joined recently, it's only because of you that something like this can exist.

Here's to good bourbon, great people, and continuing to make a difference together. Cheers!

Well… this is always one of the most humbling posts we get to make, and a powerful reminder of why we do this event.

Today we had the honor of presenting The Potter’s House with their portion of the proceeds from this year’s event — $114,330.52!

Wow.

Thank you to everyone who donated, sponsored, purchased tickets, volunteered, bid in the auction, and came out to support the event. This incredible impact is a direct result of you being part of the Ozarks Whiskey & Wine Social community.

We will also be taking photos Saturday morning at 9:00 AM at Upside Down Mercantile for their check presentation, so come down to Commercial Street and join the fun!

We can’t wait to see what next year will bring. But today, we’re simply grateful, humbled, and honored to be part of something that this community continues to support in such a meaningful way.

If you were at the event last weekend and tried something you liked, took a picture of it or would like to talk to someone who is very knowledgeable about spirits in general…hit up Brian at Whiskey Tangos Beer and Spirits. He was responsible for curating all of the vendors and products there. He can order anything that the do not have in stock…the store really is the “not so hidden” gem of the Ozarks!

Aaron here — I shared this reflection with the Bourbon Society of the Ozarks community earlier, but it felt important to share it here on the official event page as well.

Phew… what a weekend. It’s definitely inspired some reflection.

One thing Daniel, Tony, and I agreed on when we first talked about starting this event was that it couldn’t just be a great night out that happened to support charity — giving back had to be the whole point.

That meant making intentional decisions behind the scenes to keep expenses responsible and stay focused on making sure a meaningful portion of what’s raised goes directly to the organizations doing real work in our community.

Watching this grow into something powered by volunteers, sponsors, and incredible partners has been amazing. Scott, who leads DSGO, not only helps show the real, tangible impact this event can have but has also become one of the most critical partners in helping make the event successful. Berna, who leads Potter’s House, continues to remind us why this mission matters. Brian also puts in a ton of work behind the scenes helping keep everything running smoothly and deserves a lot of credit for the success of the event.

We’re still finalizing all of the numbers, but it’s already clear this is going to be an extremely impactful year, and that’s something this entire community should be proud of.

Really grateful to be part of building this alongside so many great people.
