Background in AV service or maintenance on commercial projects
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues on existing systems
Experience with odd-end electrical items, low-voltage work, or field technical support
Role & Responsibilities
A Service Technician is responsible for servicing, repairing, and troubleshooting already-existing audio-visual and electrical systems. This includes:
Diagnosing issues in existing AV systems (TV systems, projectors, sound systems, video walls, control systems, etc.)
Repairing and replacing faulty components
Handling odd-end electrical tasks and low-voltage work
Performing system updates, reconfigurations, and optimizations
Running service calls efficiently and professionally
Documenting work performed, recommendations, and follow-up needs
Communicating with clients while onsite and ensuring a positive service experience
Reading prints is helpful, but not required at the installation level — primarily needed for understanding existing system layouts
Additional Skillsets Preferred
Proven commercial experience in AV service, construction trades, or related technical environments (NOT just residential)
Strong customer service and client-facing communication skills
Ability to manage invoicing, timesheets, and basic service documentation
Exceptional organizational habits and attention to detail
Ability to work independently in the field and problem-solve in real time
Professional written and verbal communication
