"Our Stories, Our Future: The Afro Renaissance Authors Fund" ...

A campaign created to empower independent authors of African and Indigenous descent to publish, launch, and distribute their work.

We believe every story matters. By funding authors, we preserve culture, inspire communities, and pass on legacies that will shape generations to come.

Our goal is to raise $250,000 in 12 months to help 25 independent authors bring their stories to life through editing, design, printing, marketing, and distribution support.

The campaign begins online today and will continue through the Our Stories, Our Future Literature Gala on January 17, 2026, at the Pan African Historical Museum in Springfield, MA, where we’ll celebrate our first milestone and share the impact of your support.

Join us for a powerful day of music, culture, and community at the 17th Annual Springfield Indie Soul Festival, New England’s premier celebration of Black creativity and independent artistry. Held in the beautiful Forest Park, this all-day, family-friendly event brings together soul, R&B, jazz, and spoken word performers, alongside local vendors, artists, and authors.
Live performances include James “Biscuit” Rouse, Alvin Garrett, Malik James, Synnika Lofton, Leon Spradley, TM Connection, and more.
Black Wall Street Vendor Market Explore over 75 Black-owned businesses and artisans offering fashion, wellness products, home décor, and handmade goods.
The Writer’s Block: Book & Author Fair: Meet Black authors, attend live readings, and participate in panel discussions celebrating literature and legacy.
PAHMUSA Art Exhibit: View original work by renowned artists Vincent Sherfield, Iyaba Ibo Mandingo, and Kahli Hernandez, curated in partnership with the Pan African Historical Museum USA.
The Soul Kitchen Food Court: Enjoy a wide range of cuisine from Black-owned chefs and caterers showcasing traditional and contemporary culinary excellence.
