Jim has informed me that the back garage is getting a little... cozy. In an effort to preserve both valuable storage space and prevent Jim from napping, (haha), we are selling a couch and two side chairs!

All items are being sold as-is and are available through sealed bids as listed in the City post.

Bids are due by July 1, 2026. Contact Heidi at (507) 723-3517 for more information or to take a look at the furniture.

**NOTICE OF SALE OF EXCESS PROPERTY**

The City of Springfield is accepting sealed bids for the sale of the following excess furniture located at the Springfield Area Community Center.

* One (1) couch
* Two (2) side chairs

All items are being sold **as-is**, with no warranties.

Bids may be submitted for individual items or for the entire furniture set. The City will give preference to a bid for the entire set if we don't have buyers for all furniture, and reserves the right to accept a package bid that is less than the total of individual item bids, if deemed advantageous to the City.

Sealed bids must be received no later than **4:30 p.m. on July 1, 2026**, and should be clearly marked:

The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in the bidding process.

✨ Have you seen our updated venue? ✨

A huge thank you to John Vogel and his crew for painting the window trims at the Springfield Area Community Center, creating a fresh, modern look! Not only does the work look fantastic, but John and his crew were incredibly accommodating and efficient throughout the entire project. We couldn't be happier with the results!

New doors are also on the way and will be installed as soon as they arrive, adding another exciting update to our facility.

We're proud to continue investing in our wonderful venue, and can't wait for everyone to see the improvements!

We are so grateful that Mackenzie and Devon chose the Springfield Area Community Center to celebrate their special day with family and friends!

As our first wedding of the season following many of our recent facility updates, it was an honor to host such a beautiful celebration. Mackenzie and Devon were a stunning couple, and we couldn't have asked for a better debut wedding.
