Not too long ago on a rainy day like today, my kids & I literally reached the end of a rainbow, where the kids fully expected to find a leprechaun there holding a pot of gold. The rainbow led directly into a lake, and I didn’t want to ruin their childhoood imaginations, so I told them that there is indeed a leprechaun there, but the weight of the gold probably made him drown in the water. Gotta keep ‘em believing as long as you can.

The violets, daffodils & redbuds are blooming! Instead of cooking tonight, go take a walk in the woods this evening before the ticks get heavy & enjoy the early spring blooms. I got you covered on dinner- we are making Patty Melts with caramelized onions and a Swiss/Pimento cheese blend on rye, along with the rest of the menu. Come get you some good food & show me the cool rock you found on your hike!

My friend Luna stopped by & suggested we make a Neapolitan cake, so we did! We also have Chciken Cordon Bleu soup today, the newly popular Buckeye brownies with peanut butter, & a full menu. Stop by & grab yourself a tasty lil’ something!

Today is my dog Harlow’s 10th birthday, so we made dog birthday cakes to share with your friends too! Made with whole wheat flour, carrots, apples, oats, Greek yogurt & peanut butter icing, & sprinkled with dog treats. Tonight I’m making Cajun Chicken Sliders, & I’m currently working on a gumbo 🥣 For dessert we have German Chocolate cake, Golden Buttercream cake with princess sprinkles, & Cranberry Pecan Shortbread cookies.
