Caroline Picard is a nationally touring comedian known for her sharp Southern wit and fearless storytelling. Her bold, relatable style blends confidence with edge—delivering laughs that hit just a little too close to home.

Tee-Ray Bergeron is a Louisiana favorite whose laid-back delivery and quick punchlines have earned him spots on Netflix, Amazon, and international TV. Junior Golf Camp at Carter Plantation is back for Summer 2026.

Give your junior golfer three mornings that build confidence, sharpen skills, and make the game even more fun.

June 23–25, 2026
8:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Ages 6–15
$200 per participant
Limited to 24 players

Over three days, campers will work through putting, short game, and full swing fundamentals with hands-on instruction in a supportive, high-energy environment.

The week wraps with a Putting Tournament and Awards Luncheon on Thursday.

Led by:
Kim Gianatsis, PGA Life Member and Director of Instruction
Jackson McCreary, Director of Golf

What to expect:
• Structured instruction from experienced professionals
• Skill development across all areas of the game
• A fun, confidence-building atmosphere

And no… she’s not to be confused with "Mardi the Party" over on 17!

Down here in South Louisiana, the course isn’t just golf. It’s part of a living, breathing ecosystem. The same wetlands that shape our fairways are home to wildlife that’s been here long before we were.

As cool as it is to see Big Momma up close, remember:
• Keep your distance
• Never feed wildlife
• Respect their space
• *Never* test her speed!

Gators are faster than they look—and this is their home, we’re just playing in it. That’s part of what makes Carter, and all courses in South Louisiana, different.

Don't worry, no golfers were harmed in the taking of this picture, or ever! It just serves as a nice reminder for us all!

💜💛💚 Laissez les bons temps rouler at Carter Plantation! Join us for our 3rd Mardi Gras Masquerade on January 24th from 7 pm until 11 pm!

The Masquerade is 21+ and $60 per person ($70 at the gate). Tickets include Hors d'Oeuvres, an open bar, and music from a DJ! A prize will be given for the Best Dressed, and we will vote on the King and Queen of Carter! Congratulations again to our 2024 King and Queen of Carter: John and Juda Schell, and our 2025 King and Queen of Carter: Justin and Lauren Piglia! It could be you this year!

📣 We Are Now Hiring an Event Coordinator 💼

Carter Plantation is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Event Coordinator to join our team and work directly under the leadership of our Event Director, Lauren Sadler. This is a hands-on, full-time position that plays a vital role in the ex*****on of weddings, corporate events, golf tournaments, private parties, and more.

Position Overview:
As our Event Coordinator, you’ll be instrumental in bringing a wide range of events to life—ensuring seamless planning, thoughtful coordination, and exceptional guest experiences. We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead while also being a team player.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and executing all event types hosted at Carter Plantation
- Coordinate logistics, setup, and breakdown (including moving tables and chairs)
- Work long shifts on your feet, including every other weekend
- Communicate confidently and clearly with clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Respond to event inquiries via phone and email
- Create proposals, process invoices, and support sales efforts
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in real-time with grace and professionalism
- Represent Carter Plantation with poise and hospitality at all times

Ideal Candidate Traits:
- Strong leadership skills and a collaborative mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Comfortable with public speaking and guest-facing roles
- Highly organized and adaptable under pressure
- Experience in hospitality or event planning is preferred

Schedule:
- 40 hours per week
- Availability required for every other weekend
- Must be comfortable with long shifts and physical event setup

Compensation:
Pay is competitive and based on experience and training
