Thank you to the St. Christopher Conclave Red Cross of Constantine for another great event at The Acacia Room! We catered a spinach/apple/feta pork roulade, herb chicken, sweet green beans, roasted potatoes, asparagus, harvest salad, & pumpkin and key-lime trifles!

Working on Trifle Cup menu options. Tell me what you think and if I’m missing a must have!

Cheesecake - cheesecake mousse over a graham cracker base, topped with fruit(strawberry or blueberry), chocolate/white chocolate drizzle

Mudpie - French silk mousse over an Oreo crust, topped with whipped cream, chocolate drizzle

Key lime - key lime mousse over a graham cracker crust, topped with whipped cream, lime slice garnish

Lemon Tart - Lemon pie filling over salted pretzel crust, topped with whipped cream, lemon slice garnish

Banana Pudding - banana pudding over vanilla wafer crust, layered with whipped cream and sliced bananas, vanilla wafer garnish

Apple Crisp - apple filling over oatmeal crisp crust, topped with granola, caramel drizzle

Pumpkin - Pumpkin mousse over salted pretzel crust, topped with whipped cream, cinnamon dusting garnish

Tiramisu - Cappuccino mousse layered with espresso soaked lady fingers, topped with whipped cream, garnished with chocolate covered coffee beans

Dulce de Leche - dulce de leche over cinnamon graham cracker crust, sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and garnished with a churro bite

This set up is for 80 but as you can see there is plenty of room to bump up to 125 and still have room for a dance floor. We start hosting events at The Acacia Room in just a few weeks!

Guess what, folks? We've been MIA on social media lately, not because we've lost our fondness for the gram, but because we've been busy transforming a space into the ultimate budget wedding and events venue! 🎉 The reception area is almost ready, and we're painting the ceiling black to give it that extra oomph! (No, it's not a goth wedding, unless you want it to be😉) Can't wait to share pics of the chapel space too, it's going to be divine! 🙌

We don’t often repost but curious what everyone thinks about this list? There’s several I can agree with, especially as a DJ, but several that I can’t imagine leaving off your playlist.

Consult your band or DJ for fresh replacements for these annoying, corny and overplayed tunes.

It’s always exciting to receive gifts and cards at your wedding and/or rehearsals. One thing to consider though is security for your gifts and cards tables. As sad as it may be, theft is a concern. During the ceremony, grand entrance, special dances, and cake cutting almost everyone’s attention is directed on you leaving an opening for theft to occur. You may want to designate someone to keep an eye on the table and even better lock everything up after your ceremony has began. If possible a secure room in your venue is best, but if locked in a vehicle make sure everything is covered up and be aware of prying eyes in the parking lot. Know where any security cameras are and use them to your advantage.
