Why you should absolutely hire a wedding coordinator:
You may be thinking "I'm an organized person, I don't need a wedding coordinator", and honestly, I used to think that exact thing until I found out how beneficial they can be. Now, I would never get married without one. Here's a list of what I do, as your wedding coordinator:
- Meet with you before the wedding to go over all the details and create a detailed timeline of the day.
- Give you tips about how the day should run, advice on what vendors to use, where you can save money, etc.
- Direct the rehearsal, A.K.A. tell your bridesmaids and groomsmen when to walk down the aisle and where to stand
- Help set up your decorations to make sure everything looks exactly as you envisioned it
- Coordinate with all of your vendors to make sure everyone arrives on time and sets up where they need to be and knows the schedule of the evening. This is especially important for the caterer and Emcee of the night.
- Make sure the wedding day stays on schedule
- Do small things that make a big difference, like fluff your train before you walk down the aisle, open the doors for you for your grand entrance, light candles or turn on lights at the reception while the wedding is going on, get you a drink right after the ceremony, get you napkins for when you cut the cake, etc.
- Handle any unexpected conflicts
- Be the go to person for any questions or concerns
Basically, if you don't notice that I'm there, but your day ran smoothly, then I've done my job correctly. If you don't hire a coordinator all of those tasks listed above usually fall onto one of your family members, or you. I want to make sure you and your family get to enjoy your big day without having to worry about all the details.
I wanted to start offering Coordinating especially for the couple who couldn't necessarily afford a full wedding planner, but knows the value of having that "go-to person", so I've made my prices very reasonable. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
