It is my sincere pleasure to announce this event. Usually the band plays alternative rock. Usually those songs are covers that we love. We then embellish them with our own taste and style. Usually we go by Ozark Six Pack, or, if we're feeling nostalgic the Fun Time Band.

I'm not sure what our name will be in the future. Because this evening, we're making a long awaited transition to original music. It marks the beginning of... something. Mannnny of these songs I've played, some for over a decade, by myself, on the ukulele. For this show I'll be playing the bass. And, with a band! Some of these songs are leaving the pages for the first time. I feel so proud of our band as we step into the unknown.

Rest assured that if the window of time is too short, or the drive too far, we'll be doing this again, hopefully in a venue near you.
...On the other hand, if you're thinking, "I could go to that! But where would I sleep or eat?", please reach out to Shelton's, or me. The nearest "hotel, hotel", is about 40 minutes away. Consider packing a picnic. It's pretty isolated, although one of the best pizza places in town is in Mountain View, Tommy's. hopefully you're lucky enough to be passing through this way... And if so, let us know so you can pick ours up!

Come if it calls you, experience the best beer the Ozarks has to offer! They're celebrating their 11th year in business this weekend.

Stouts to Kolsh, whatever you're flavor, at Gravity BrewWorks, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the firm, confident flavors that don't overpower. Billy and Tony Guinn have been honing their craft for longer than I've been alive, and, it shows in their consistency and commitment to excellence.

I've been working on a new song! It's nearly finished, and I'm so grateful for the prompt from Wild Bob's Musical Book Club! I'll be sharing it at Lindbergh's, sometime after 8PM, October 12th.

Listening to David Sedaris read his own, hilarious, novel Me Talk Pretty One Day, has been wonderful. Obviously funny, surprisingly relatable and; courageous in its willingness to take on tough topics and make them tender and even sweet. Albeit in an often sarcastic way.

Davids is a journey of self discovery and brazen self expression. In a world that understood him so little, he handles that misunderstanding with a surprising amount of grace and an imaginative sense of himself and his surroundings.

Are all of the stories true? Who knows, but they've made for the foundation of one hell of a song.

Thanks David. May you talk pretty, one day.
