Yesterday marked the anniversary of April 19, 1968, when an F4 tornado tore through my hometown of Greenwood Arkansas in just four minutes.

With winds reaching up to 200 mph, it destroyed homes, businesses, and landmarks, wiping out nearly 25% of the town, taking lives, and injuring hundreds.

In 2018, I was asked to help tell that story.

Survivors sat down and shared what they experienced that day, each interview over 20 minutes long, memories that have stayed with them for decades.

I pieced those voices together to create one complete story.

This project was more than just a video.

It was about documenting history, preserving stories many people have never heard, and creating something that families can hold onto so this moment and the people affected by it, are never forgotten.

It’s also one of the first times I understood the true impact storytelling can have… and it’s something I’ve carried with me ever since.

The moments that go viral aren’t just buzzer beaters.

They’re the emotional, human stories behind men’s and women’s basketball programs.

As a creative, this is where I thrive, capturing the behind‑the‑scenes heartbeat of a team and building long‑form stories that elevate athletes, strengthen recruiting, and grow NIL opportunities.

Fans don’t fall in love with a score. They fall in love with the journey.

Every athlete arrives with a story...where they come from, who believed in them, what they’ve overcome, and what they’re chasing. Today, that story doesn’t live only on the field.

It lives online, shaping how fans connect, how brands evaluate, and how opportunities open. My role is helping athletes understand and communicate that story with intention.

Through content planning, photoshoots, graphics, video storytelling, and NIL education, we build digital identities that reflect who they truly are, on and off the field.

When athletes grow their brand with purpose, the entire program benefits.
