Personal Note:
It's with a heavy heart to announce that my wife, best friend, business partner Lynette passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on Monday. Today would have been her birthday--and I would like to celebrate her. Thank you for the great outpouring of prayers and thoughts over the last several weeks as she battled heartfailure complications. Many friends, guests, staff knew of her sweet demeanor and care for everyone including animal rescue and rehabilitation (mostly feline). She set the decor and dining mood as well as enhancing many of the family dishes and recipes...even though I have peace she is full healed now--a part of me has been ripped away--glad I had the honor and privilege of 42 years with you--I miss you deeply! Even though the restaurant is named after my grandfather and me--your lasting fingerprints will remain present always.

known as Bobcat Fever, Cytauxzoonosis is a deadly, tick-borne disease affecting cats. It has a rapid disease course, with symptoms appearing 5-14 days post-exposure. Early detection is crucial, as survival rates drop drastically without treatment.

🚨 Signs to Watch For:
🔹 Lethargy, inappetence, and pale or yellow gums
🔹 High fever followed by possible hypothermia
🔹 Dehydration and signs of pain

🐱 How It Spreads:
Cats get infected from tick bites—primarily the Lone Star tick. It cannot spread directly from cat to cat.

⚠️ Who’s at Risk?
All cats, regardless of age or s*x, are susceptible if exposed to infected ticks. Peak seasons are spring, early summer, and late summer into fall.

✅ Keep cats indoors and away from wooded or tick-infested areas
