πβ¨ After 7 amazing years in the Stevenson Ridge kitchen, weβre saying farewell (for now!) to one of our very own. Lily is heading off to culinary school, and we couldnβt be more proud of her!
She started with us as a student and has grown into an integral part of our team β always ready to lend a hand, whip up a dish, and make us smile along the way. π
Before her final shift, we asked her a few questions about her journey:
π©π³ What inspired you to pursue culinary arts?
"Building a healthier connection with food than what I had growing up."
π΄ Whatβs your favorite memory from your time at Stevenson Ridge?
"I loved working the Open Houses. It always gave me the opportunity to try and make new things!"
π₯ Is there a dish or menu item you'll especially miss making?
" I loved the freedom and creativity that the charcuterie boards took, but I'll always remember the first "five star review" from a little girl about my garlic oil mashed potatoes."
πͺ What has been the biggest lesson you've learned working in a professional kitchen?
"To keep my chin up and focus as sharp as my knives."
π Any advice you'd give to other young people interested in the culinary world?
"To just go for it. Don't let anyone or anything scare you away from your passions."
π Any final remarks?
"Stevenson Ridge has some of the most welcoming and loving staff. I've loved working here from day one and couldn't have asked for a better first job. I am so sad to be leaving but over the moon to start this new chapter of my life."
We canβt wait to see what she cooks up next, and weβre cheering her on every step of the way. Drop a comment below to wish her luck! ππ¬
