“Julia Keefe... completely blew the roof off the venue… one of those moments where you think, I’m in the right place at the right time—this is something really big and exciting. They are unbelievable players.”
— Aisha Ahmad-Post, Executive Director, Newman Center for the Performing Arts

Kick off 2026 with a bang. 🧨

From the Kennedy Center to the Mary Lou Williams Jazz Festival, the Julia Keefe Indigenous Jazz Ensemble is redefining what jazz can be—and on January 16, they bring that electricity to the Myrtle Woldson Performing Arts Center.

This awe-inspiring performance is more than a concert.
It’s a celebration of reclamation, creativity, and community—rooted in Indigenous traditions and bursting with contemporary brilliance.

Start the new year in the right place at the right time.

What. A. Night. ✨

If you were there, you felt it — the love, the joy, the collective magic that filled the hall during Campana Sobre Campana – Christmas in Mexico. And if you weren’t? The standing ovation says everything words can’t. 👏

We are deeply grateful to Gonzaga Dance for helping us bring this cherished holiday tradition back to our stage, and to our incredible Spokane community for showing up with such heart and enthusiasm once again.

Music, movement, culture, and celebration — all wrapped into one unforgettable evening.
¡Feliz Navidad! ❤️🎄

Welcome!

The Myrtle Woldson Performing Arts Center welcomes Spokane-area audiences to year-round music, theatre, and dance performances by Gonzaga students and faculty, regional performers and arts organizations, and national artists.

The new Center was made possible through an extraordinary $55 million gift from the late Miss Myrtle Woldson. Through her generosity and love for the arts, Miss Woldson has given Gonzaga University and the Spokane community a state-of-the-art facility in which to experience inspiring, surprising, and elevating arts performances.

The Myrtle Woldson Performing Arts Center is home to:

Fr. Bernard J. Coughlin, S.J. Theater: A 759-seat hall with seating on two floors, state-of-the art sound, lighting, and stage equipment, excellent acoustics, and close views of the stage from every seat.
