Browne’s Addition Summer Concerts Announce 2025 Season
The Browne’s Addition Summer Concerts 28th Anniversary season will feature some of Spokane’s most popular bands including a 17-piece big band featuring some of Spokane’s outstanding jazz musicians. The free concerts will be on eight Thursdays beginning on June 19 and wrapping up on Aug. 7.
The concerts, produced by Browne’s Addition Neighborhood Council in Coeur d’Alene Park, Spokane’s oldest park, will be held from 6 to 8 pm. Major sponsors are STCU and the Avista Foundation.
The 2025 season kicks off on June 19 with Kevin Brown and Beloved Country. Brown has been host of the popular radio program Front Porch Bluegrass heard weekly since 2002 on Spokane Public Radio
On June 26, Free Whiskey, a Celtic folk rock band, will play traditional with a twist. Vintage rock and Celtic ballads are intertwined and mesh together as the six members “make magic” together.
The July 3 concert will feature Kosta la Vista, a three-member group who bill themselves as three men who love their work. They play electric blues-based classic rock.
On July 10, the Dues Band, a 17-piece big band composed of professional musicians from the Spokane area, will pay homage to the classic big band charts from the 1940s until today. The brass section will include five saxophones, four trumpets and four trombones. They will be supported by drums, guitar and keyboard.
July 17, Front Porch Rockers will bring songs from a range of styles: the roots of folk; Tin Pan Alley; rock ‘n roll; American Songbook, Blues and much more. The music makers include musicians who have entertained Spokane audiences for years in many different bands.
On July 24 the Pamela Benton Band, with a music style described as “Norah Jones meets Sting,” will play with a blend of indie, pop, rock and jazz influences with vocals and electric violin and lead guitar.
July 31, Soul Proprietor, a high-energy, 10-piece “Urban Soul” group playing Blues, Funk, Motown, R&B and Classic Rock. It features outstanding vocalists Patrice Thompson-Rose and Jerry Lee Raines, a stellar 4-piece horn section, and a super-funky rhythm section.
Aug. 7, Patrick Dwyer, an indie singer-songwriter with roots in rural Montana and growing in Los Angeles, plays music that is both city and country. He has played many Spokane venues and most recently at Comstock Park with the Spokane Symphony in September 2024.
