Happy Monday! The BEE A WINNER program with Monrovia is still going on. Stop in and find the sign pictured to enter for a chance to win a Pollinator Plant! Speaking of pollinator plants, lets talk about one of my FAVORITES. (As you can see in the picture below, the large Bummble Bees Love it as well). Stachys Hummelo is a GREAT and durable plant. Very easy to care for and very reliable. It can take full to part sun. You may see a bunch of these planted on the North end of Grand. I have these planted at my house and love how easy they are. Last week the south side of my climbing rose was giving us a show. This week it is the north side. Wonderful fragrance as well coming from this Above and Beyond Climbing Rose from Bailey nursery. ļæ¼ We just got some in and they are available for you to plant at your home. I have some favorite treesā€¦red oak, sugar maple, redbud, heritage oak and Korean maple. Structure, color and shade are the main reasons for some of my favorites. Todd Sunde, H, Duane, Todd and Maggie are super helpful at Delā€™s. They can help with tree selection and advice on tree success. We have big, little and huge trees.

It Is pollinator month from Monrovia. Iā€™ve already found seven monarch caterpillars. This is really early. They will be at the store and if they happen to hatch the day you come in you can release the butterfly. ļæ¼ Ask for Todd Sunde. I will show them to you . There are so many great pollinator plants we offer here. Literally dozens of them. ļæ¼ this little guy is from a few days ago and now heā€™s already making a chrysalis. It goes fast.

This is a Princeton Elm at a fairgrounds. This is only been in the ground about five years. Already at least 30 feet tall maybe 35. If you want a fast growing shade tree we have a lot of them at Delā€™s garden center.ļæ¼. Completely resistant to Dutch Elm disease. ļæ¼. We have a lot of other great replacements for ash trees, including Sycamoreā€™s and Kentucky coffee tree and autumn blaze Maples and sugar maples.ļæ¼ and many more. Itā€™s gonna get hotter here in the next couple months so letā€™s get your shade tree taken care of. ļæ¼

Flowers Were Never Meant to Last Forever šŸŒø

As a florist, one of the questions I hear most often is, "How do I make my flowers last longer?"

The truth is... flowers aren't supposed to last forever.

Their beauty is in their fleeting nature. They remind us to slow down, notice the little things, and appreciate the moment we're in right now. They bloom, they thrive, they bring joy, and then they gently fade away.
Maybe that's why flowers mean so much.

They celebrate birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, new babies, and even help us through life's hardest goodbyes. They remind us that every season is precious.

So don't worry so much about how long your flowers will last. Instead, enjoy them while they're here. Stop and admire them with your morning coffee. Let them brighten your kitchen table. Take a deep breath and be present.
