This ultimate adult summer camp wedding was magic from start to finish. Hosted at Sanctuary Farm with 80 of their favorite people (and more than half camping on-site!), the weekend kicked off with a Friday night welcome party and a hilariously heartwarming talent show.

Saturday morning brought coffee, breakfast, yoga, crafts, and an epic water balloon capture the flag game before everyone relaxed and got ready for the wedding. Then it was time for the ceremony, framed by this perfect backdrop of rustic wood and oversized paper flowers that the bride made! Dinner was a vegan feast at picnic tables under market lights beside the barn, with eclectic dishware and goblets lovingly sourced by the bride and her mom.

The celebration continued with a Contra band leading dances that had everyone on their feet. The couple cut a cake, the groom DJ'd a dance party, and guests casually joined a late-night campfire before drifting back to their yurts and tents.

It was personal, joyful, and so perfectly them.

This couple sat side-by-side on the edge of the dance floor, soaking up every moment as their friends and family performed choreographed dances in their honor.

I first met Sam & Chris back in 2022, and after two years of full-service planning, we celebrated their wedding in October 2024. They trusted me as their very first booking — and let me build their entire vendor team, design their day, and help bring their love story to life.

They grew up in Fayetteville, attended college in Chapel Hill, and lived in Atlanta while planning the wedding. I still remember their visit to NC for venue tours - we spent back-to-back days in Fayetteville and Chapel Hill, touring 7 venues and ultimately booking the last one we toured!

From blending Chinese, Filipino, and German traditions into the menu and ceremony, to creating a romantic fall palette with magical lighting, every detail reflected who they are. We even built in a secret buffer for Sam’s perpetually late family (welcome boba drinks made it seamless 😉).

The best part? Building a relationship with these two so we could create a wedding that was authentically theirs. 💛

From the iconic red barn to fields of crops that change with the seasons, wide open spaces, shady trees, a sweet porch, and cozy tucked-away spots — this venue is full of variety and charm. 🌿

Most couples panic a little when I ask about napkin folds (because let’s be honest, it’s not something most people have ever thought about). And while it may seem like a small detail, the way your table is styled really does shift the entire aesthetic. Today marks 8 years since the first wedding I planned - my own!

It feels remarkable to say Matt & I have been married for 8 years - over 1/4 of my life - and it's been a beautiful journey. There have been PLENTY of ups and downs, and it's a blessing to say this has been our best year yet. Moving to Sparta NC last year was the best choice we've made, and I love the life and home we've built together.

I also just looked, and Matt has worked 60 of my 80 weddings! So, here's a big shoutout to the guy who stepped up and partnered in this crazy business with me, despite neither of us having a clue about the wedding industry before our own 😂

Cheers to more adventures, the best four-legged babies and nieces/nephews, and spending every day as partners in life and business.

These centerpieces are living in my head rent-free, thanks to these bold colors, lush textures, and a music-lover’s twist with vinyl record table numbers.

The florals popped against the candlelight, giving every table a warm, vibrant glow, and the mix of colors made the whole room feel alive.

And it doesn’t hurt that this was at one of my favorite venues, where the charm of the space is the perfect backdrop for a wedding this full of personality and joy.

Two years ago, these two celebrated their love in the most “them” way possible — at their home, with a backyard ceremony one day, and the next night filled with good food, great company, and games galore.

Their living room transformed into a cozy dinner space with rented farm tables, stylish chairs, and pops of purple in floating candles and wooden flowers. And every non-food space through their home had a game waiting, from board and card games to video games and yard games.

Guests got creative with a Polaroid guest book accompanied by the most fun stickers, enjoyed favorite bites from the couple's favorite restaurants, and toasted with help from the amazing Carolina Party Partners (my go-to pros for at-home events).

The kitchen became the bar, complete with signature drinks, and the dessert table featured petite desserts from the incredible Cupcakes d'Amour alongside a perfect custom cake topper of the couple and their pets.

Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter, and making your own traditions 💜
